DEACON RONNIE HATHORNE was ordained on June 15, 2002. He is assigned to St. Joseph Parish, Maysville, where he participates in various functions and assists not only the parishioners of St. Joseph Parish, but other local parishes within the deanery. He also serves as Pastoral Administrator for the Permanent Diaconate of the Archdiocese of Mobile and a member of the Deacon Advisory Board. On July 21, 2013, he received an award as an “Outstanding African American Catholic” from the National Black Catholic Congress.
REV. STEPHEN REMELIEKEN SOHE, S.S.J. is the fourth child of Mr. and Mrs. Johnson ADesola Moses Sohe from Itodome, Okanran-Sohe, in Ado-Odo/Ota L.G.A. of Ogun State, Nigeria. He was born in the later 70's and is the 2nd Priest in the family.
While working in the Church and worshipping at St. Martin's out station, he got the call to serve God's people in a special way as a Catholic Priest. He began seminary in October 2003 in Iperu-Remo, Ogun state and was ordained at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Washington, DC. Sohe did his summer apostolic ministry at the National Missionary Seminary of St. Paul Gwagwalada, Abuja and at Awka and Orlu dioceses of Nigeria and some dioceses in the US. He also serve as an intern hospital chaplain for a period of three years at Providence Hospital Washington, DC.
Fr. Stephen will forever remain grateful to God, who called him to this humble ministry in His Church.
